What are the responsibilities and job description for the UAS Flight Line Maintainer position at AOC Global Services?
Flight Line Maintainers are required to provide Shadow Maintenance Support to perform Shadow UAS scheduled and unscheduled field-level maintenance in support of the Fort Huachuca Unmanned Aircraft Systems Maintenance Services at multiple flight lines and/or Maintenance Training Facilities, as directed and on multiple shifts.
- The Shadow UAS Maintainer shall inspect, test, troubleshoot, service, and repair all components of the Shadow UAS IAW maintenance technical manuals and all related aviation maintenance regulations; inspect, monitor and repair all maintenance support equipment, perform Shadow UAS launch and recovery operations, perform all set-up & tear down, inspections, troubleshooting, and repair of the launch and recovery equipment.
- Duties may also include the following:
- Standing for periods > 1 hour.
- Bending, squatting or laying on back under aircraft and lifting up to 25 pounds (individual) or >25 pounds in a team of 2 to 6 and pushing aircraft >300 pounds once fueled to launcher/flightline in temperatures of 35-100 degrees.
- Refueling and other Petroleum, Oil and Lubricant operations.
- Using hand tools for maintenance functions and assembly/disassembly of the aircraft and other components.
- Driving military and licensed vehicles and attaching towing implements to wheeled vehicles.
- Entering maintenance actions into electronic or paper logbooks operations.
Required:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in UAS or aviation maintenance (documented).
- Experience in U.S. Army aviation maintenance or other military service equivalent.
- Must be able to perform shift work when required to support customer needs.
- High School Graduate or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, or work/military experience.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Current active US Secret Clearance.
Preferred:
- RQ-7B Shadow 200, 15E Course graduate.
- Associate degree preferred.
- Prior military or contractor license for Government/Military vehicles and equipment.
