As the Lead Risk Management and Internal Controls Specialist, you will be responsible for working alongside Government employees to develop, implement and execute a range of risk management and internal control activities. Key to the success of this position is developing a close, collaborative working relationship with Government personnel charged with overseeing RMIC program activities at your assigned location.

As the Lead Risk Management and Internal Controls Specialist, you will be responsible for working alongside Government employees to develop, implement and execute a range of risk management and internal control activities. Key to the success of this position is developing a close, collaborative working relationship with Government personnel charged with overseeing RMIC program activities at your assigned location.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate support activities with Government personnel.
- Assign and schedule work and tasks to team members.
- Review contract support team produced items for quality and adherence to established RMIC program requirements.
- Provide strategic advice and recommendations to improve RMIC program.
- Coordinate with Technical Leads at the other MSC locations to support standardization of RMIC program efforts across these organizations.
- Prepare and develop leadership briefings and recurring reports.
- Review Government program documentation for adherence to established RMIC program documentation and providing recommendations for improvement when needed.
- Develop and maintain a detailed project plan in support of local RMIC program needs and Agency guidance.
- Update, maintain, and submit contractually required deliverables to the Government for approval in formats specified by the Government or Prime contractor.
- U.S. Citizenship required - Dual Citizenship not permitted for this position
- A Four-year degree from an accredited college / university.
- 7 total years of experience in disciplines related to financial management, accounting, internal controls, risk management, or auditing. May include federal employment, military service, private sector employment, or a combination thereof.
- 3 years of experience with federal government internal controls or related programs DoD or DLA experience preferred.
- A working knowledge of OMB Circular A-123 and the GAO Green Book
- Demonstrated experience in supervising, training, coaching, and/or mentoring support staff.
- Proven ability to build and sustain relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Experience in interviewing personnel to assess technical skills and personality fit within the team.
- CPA, CRMP or CGFM certifications.
- Active clearance or Public Trust
- 2 years of experience may be substituted with a Graduate degree in accounting or related field.
