The Broker is responsible for the management of a complex portfolio of middle market accounts, including the placement and service, as well as ensuring client deliverables are maintained. This individual is accountable for acting as the representative for the local office or region on new business and renewal opportunities. The individual leads by example as a strong sponsor of Aons Leadership Model; supporting local colleagues; promoting and ensuring connectivity, collaboration and cooperation within local office practices, functions and fostering the sharing of knowledge, best practices and resources around our Property and Casualty accounts.
What the day will look like :
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of Property insurance marketplace, products and services, with strong business relationships with key insurance underwriters
- Develop strategy and program design for large and / or heavily catastrophic exposed accounts, including single placement, layered and global accounts
- Responsible for all aspects of client service for assigned book of business including, billing, policy collection, review and transmittal in accordance with established departmental service standards with support from Associate Brokers
- Retain and grow assigned clients / prospects
- Facilitate the compilation of submission information in conjunction with appropriate external client
- contacts and internal Aon clients
- Provide broking status and continuous support and service to clients during entire broking process and entire period of engagement by client (this is a continuous process)
- Demonstrate ability with all elements of client presentations including technical writing and verbal presentation skills.
- Utilize effective negotiation skills.
- Drive utilization of all available technology throughout broking process and client service process
- Understand the causes of E&O and avoid and adopt practices to reduce exposure
- Replicate effective products / solutions and develop broking opportunities
- Work in conjunction with a team on various daily activities including underwriter and client interaction

Pay Transparency Laws :
The salary range for this position is $130,000.00 to $170,000.00 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicants education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicants geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aons annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
