Aon is looking for an Investment Analyst!This Analyst will support three specialty teams within Aon’s US Investment business, including our Trust & Custody Team, our Fiduciary Services Team, and our Operational Due Diligence Team. The Trust & Custody team is focused on custody, operations, and securities lending consulting. The Fiduciary Services Team provides governance reviews designed to identify, prevent, or mitigate fiduciary risk. The Operational Due Diligence Team identifies and quantifies operational risks of investment managers. As such, the successful candidate will be eager to learn about various aspects of client portfolio oversight, be able to manage different projects, and have a general interest in business / investments. Strong writing skills are required and proficiency in Excel is preferred.What the day will look likeYour impact as an Investment AnalystJob Responsibilities : Assist with tracking status of current projects, prior projects, and requests for advice / assistance.Update or create databases of information relevant to each team.Assist with due diligence on investment managers, custodians, and / or client practices, and manage document request lists for projects / clients, including tracking, organizing, and reviewing documents received.Gather and analyze research documents pertinent to clients’ portfolios and governance practices, investment manager operations, or custodial services, bringing salient points to the attention of senior client team members.Read various articles and update the team on any relevant news, including any organizational changes to potential and current clients, service providers, and competitor firms.Collect service provider information / statistics from vendor proposals.Review and break out client vendor fees using the invoices generated by vendor.Conduct market and competitor research.Use technical, analytical, and communication skills to support consultants and clients in all aspects of data-related work.Prepare materials for client or service provider meetings, including discussion guides, presentation materials, and / or reports.Create / update / automate (PowerPoint / Excel) client presentation templates.Meet with senior members of client teams to discuss relevant client matters and / or issues.Review invoices and track team revenue and profitability.Take accountability and ownership of work.Skills and experience that will lead to successWe’re looking for collaborators, critical thinkers, problem solvers, excellent teammates, effective communicators, relationship builders and future leaders. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
