Role: QA Analyst
Location: Woodbridge NJ 4 days/week
Quality Assurance Analyst
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Based on project requirements and technical design, develop & execute software test cases
- Plan test schedules & strategies in accordance with project scope & delivery dates
- Document test cases, results and defects utilizing MicroFocus (formerly HP) Quality Center/ALM
- Create and manage test data, including data for use by automated scripts where applicable
- Document and communicate project quality over the course of testing, including readiness for release using our standard test process and status reporting template
- Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality
- Support User Acceptance Test (UAT) phase - largely through test information sharing and test data creation for UAT team members using our automated processes
Desired Skills:
testing and/or Property & Casualty Insurance experience
Experience with Quality Center/ALM for requirements, test case and defect management
Data testing experience including writing SQL and working with XML files
Exposure to Property & Casualty Insurance a plus
Excellent skills as a communicator and facilitator, both written and oral
Ability to work independently and within a team to accomplish a common goal
Self-starter with strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and influencing skills
A process improvement mind-set
