What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at Aozora Japanese Cuisine?
Required Schedule:
Thursday - Saturday, ~3pm to close
Duties:
- Bar preparation prior to opening
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Mix ingredients to create classic and innovative cocktails
- Ensure that the bar area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
- Maintain a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for customers
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with other staff members to provide excellent customer service
- Assist with catering events as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in the catering, hospitality, or food service industry is preferred
- Strong math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating drink prices
- Knowledge of different types of alcohol, brewing techniques, and cocktail recipes
- Ability to handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures
- Familiarity with operating a cash register or point-of-sale system
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must possess a bar certification and RBS certificate.
