The truck loader will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks in a safe and accurate manner.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Performs banding and shrink-wrapping functions to prepare the products for shipment. Picks up products from staging areas and secures pallets to safely and accurately load into route trucks based on load sheets. Scans every package that goes into the truck. Updates the truck loading schedule. May be asked to load more than one truck at a time. Responsible for moving products from different areas and zones. Consolidate order as needed. Other duties as assigned
II. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Ability to operate assigned equipment in a safe and responsible manner. Excellent organizational skills including the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload. Attention to detail job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks. Ability to perform tasks independently and with minimum supervision. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment. Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, and multiplication. Strong work ethic and good communication skills. Team-oriented and self-directed.
EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED (preferred). 1 to 2 years of experience in loading trucks is required.
IV.WORKING ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL EFFORT
Must adhere to safety standards and wear the correct PPE as specified for the job, inclusive of steeled toe shoes and warehouse vests. Repetitive work and long periods of standing, bending, twisting or lifting, need mental and physical stamina and strength. Must be able to lift, load, unload, push, and pull parts weighing up to 50 pounds. Hours as assigned with the probability of overtime during the week and on Saturday. Must be able to work in the summer heat and winter cold.
