Quality Assurance Technician
APX Staffing is hiring a Quality Assurance Technician for our customer, a global FDA regulated manufacturer. This 1st shift (M-F, 6 : 45AM-2 : 45PM), direct hire opportunity is located in the city of Buffalo. Reporting to the QA Team Lead, you will use variable, fixed or preset measuring tools to inspect materials and products for assembly completion, accuracy of dimensions, structural flaws and conformance to specifications. You will maintain records on all defects and the number of parts rejected, working with the engineers during failure investigations and make recommendations for improvement to processes.
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in quality control, continuous improvement inspection / audits or equivalent combination of College / Tech School education and experience.
- One-year certificate from College or technical school is preferred.
- Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Basic computer skills.
The pay rate is $21-24 per hour, plus potential bonuses. They provide a fun, employee-focused environment.
