Are you ready to lead critical substation projects from conception to commissioning? Our client is seeking a dynamic Senior Engineer Substation to join their Juno Beach, FL team. This is an exciting opportunity to manage all aspects of substation projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all assigned substation projects from the conceptual phase to construction and commissioning.
- Collaborate with the Early-Stage Project Manager and Development Group to define engineering requirements.
- Provide technical oversight of external engineers of record (EOR) for compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Develop scopes of work, secure bids, evaluate, and award contracts for engineering consulting resources.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to secure substation sites, permits, and necessary data for successful execution.
- Competitively source, select, and contract geotechnical, survey, engineering, and construction services.
- Represent the projects engineering interests in meetings with various levels of management.
- Support Transmission Services in reviewing interconnection documentation and ensure compliance with ISO and Transmission Owner requirements.
- Manage procurement of long-lead major materials to mitigate delays or budget overruns.
- Collaborate with OEMs to adapt designs to client philosophies.
