What are the responsibilities and job description for the Well Operations Technician I position at Apache Inc.?
Specific Responsibilities
- Install, calibrate, trouble shoot, and repair pump off controllers which include but are not limited to Sams, Baker, Delta X, and D-jax.
- Check fluid levels on producing wells.
- Maintain a data base of fluid levels for each producing well in a field.
- Perform artificial lift design using Rodstar V 3.11.
- Perform well analysis including but not limited to problem well analysis and failure analysis.
- Oversee well pulling and workover operations.
- Operate and perform minor repairs on model D & E Ecometers.
- Demonstrate proficiency with PC based computer applications including MS Office applications.
- Assist in evaluation of chemical programs.
- Through familiarity with all configuration of rod pumps.
- Ability to perform electrical installations.
- Take thermal amperage readings and make recommendations with regard to the necessary adjustments to pumping equipment.
Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Must be proficient in all Microsoft applications and other PC based computer applications.
- Team player willing to take active role in team responsibilities.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to learn new skills.
- Willingness to share knowledge with others.
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work on several projects simultaneously
- Good safety and driving record.
- Knowledge of safe oil and gas operations and procedures in mature secondary and tertiary recovery fields.
- Follow safe practices with regard to oil field electrical installations.
