Job Description
Position Title : Certified Payroll Specialist
Position Reports To : VP, Operations
Position Summary
The Certified Payroll Specialist is responsible for the preparation and submission of certified payroll reports on a weekly basis including collecting worker classification information for each employee in addition to the worker prevailing and fringe rates.
Essential Functions
- Coordinate with regions on projects that are required to file certified payrolls to ensure fair wages for workers on projects funded by the state or federal government.
- Experience filing certified payrolls under multiple method requirements; LCPtracker, Form WH347, DIR, etc.
- Work with clients on resolving issues with reporting submission.
- Run hours worked reports from Workday to obtain required information to file the reports in a timely manner
- Maintain Certified Payroll log
- Communicate to each region the status of the certified payrolls to provide the clients with the latest information.
- Stays current, complies with, and provides interpretations of various rules, regulations, wage and hour laws, contracts, and policies.
