What are the responsibilities and job description for the FORKLIFT DRIVER 2ND SHIFT $16- $17 an hour position at Apache Mills?
Apache Mills, Inc., a worldwide leader in floor mat manufacturing, has immediate openings to join our growing company as a member of our Operations Team. We are currently seeking a Lift Truck Operator (LTO) for our fast-paced operations. This position is on 2nd shift regularly scheduled for Monday-Saturday. (Saturday's as needed)
The position requires the ability to (this is not a complete job description) :
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Must have general knowledge of operating lift trucks with a minimum of 2 years experience.
- Must be able to pass a written certification exam and demonstration of safe operation.
- Must have the knowledge of scanning procedures with the AS400 system.
- Must be willing to work extended hours Monday to Friday including working weekends as needed.
- Meet or Exceed company quality standards.
- Comply with company processes and procedures.
- Follow verbal and written instructions.
- Must be able to stand, walk, lift, bend, stoop, twist and reach while handling material or products.
- Work cooperatively, courteously, and respectfully with all team members, vendors, and visitors.
- The ability to work in a non-climate control facility based on weather conditions including hot and wintry weather.
- Be able to work around the normal process of rubber smell, vapors, fumes given off by machinery and small amounts of smoke.
- Ensure Good Housekeeping of all areas on company premises.
