Position Summary:

The Facilities Technician is responsible for maintaining the casino’s physical infrastructure, ensuring that all systems, equipment, and facilities are in excellent working condition to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for guests and staff.

Facilities Technician (Primary Role)::

__1. __Maintenance and Repairs:

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance of the casino’s building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and lighting systems.
  • Repair equipment, fixtures, and furnishings as needed.
  • Ensure all gaming equipment and non-gaming areas are in operational condition.

__2. __Preventive Maintenance:

  • Develop and execute a schedule for preventive maintenance on facility systems and equipment.
  • Monitor the condition of all mechanical systems to prevent breakdowns.

3. __Facility Operations:

  • Respond to maintenance requests from various departments promptly.
  • Ensure the functionality and safety of doors, windows, locks, and other structural elements.
  • Assist with setting up and dismantling equipment for events or special promotions.

4. __Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure the casino meets all safety and building codes, fire regulations, and OSHA standards.
  • Conduct regular safety checks on fire alarms, sprinklers, and emergency systems.
  • Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.

5. __Collaboration and Reporting:

  • Work closely with other departments, such as EVS (Environmental Services) and Security, to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and replacements.
  • Report major repair needs or capital improvement projects to management.

Drop and Count Team Support (Cross-Trained Role):

1. Drop Team Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the collection of cash boxes from slot machines and table games during scheduled drops.
  • Follow strict security protocols to transport cash boxes to designated areas.
  • Record and log drop activities accurately.

2. Count Team Responsibilities:

  • Sort, count, and record cash and tickets using counting machines.
  • Reconcile totals and report discrepancies to the Count Team Supervisor.
  • Maintain a secure and organized count room environment.

3. Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Drop and Count Teams to ensure accurate and efficient operations.
  • Adhere to all gaming regulations and company policies during drop and count activities.

Qualifications:

1. Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certifications or vocational training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or a related field preferred.

2. Experience:

  • 2 years of experience in facility maintenance, repair, or a similar role.
  • Experience in a hospitality or gaming environment is a plus.

3. Skills:

  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of building systems, such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

4. Attributes:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily works indoors on the casino floor and back-of-house areas.
  • May require extended periods of standing, bending, and lifting.
  • Exposure to loud noises, smoke, and cleaning chemicals is possible.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.50 - $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
