Overview:
Perform documentation in the EHR, gathering information for the patients visit, and partnering with the physician to deliver the pinnacle of efficient patient care.
ESSENTIAL/CORE JOB-SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Document medical visits and procedures as they are being performed by the physician accurately and thoroughly.
- Perform clerical tasks as needed by the physician including faxing, phone calls, and referral letters.
- Collect, organize, and catalog data for physician quality reporting system and other quality initiatives to increase patient compliance and improve outcomes.
- Comply with all legal and ethical requirements for medical documentation.
- Alert physician when medical record is incomplete or medical documentation contains mistakes or inconsistencies.
- Review “To-Do” lists and “Notes left in Draft” to determine incomplete status and notify Provider for direction for completion. Once complete, return items that were in Draft or Incomplete staff to be reviewed and finalized by the Provider.
- Experienced staff in Scribe positions will assist in the training of new hires as requested by Supervisor.
- If needed, will alter schedule to provide weekend or holiday coverage if directed by the Supervisor.
Qualifications
PRN Requirement:
- PRN Medical Scribes must be available to work at least one weekend per month.
Education/Experience:
- A high school diploma or its equivalent.
- One (1) year of related work experience.
- Ability to type at least 35 correct words per minute.
Salary : $14 - $16
