Contract - C2C or W2 - 6 Months and extendable
As a key member of the DevSecOps team, this DevOps Engineer 3 will
a) Develop, review, modify, and enhance CI / CD principles,
b) Install, configure, and maintain CI / CD tools & platforms,
c) Develop and maintain CI / CD pipeline configurations,
d) Automate processes, and
e) Develop, monitor and optimize Batch Jobs and Operations.
In addition, this DevOps engineer will be assigned to install, configure, build and deploy applications in support of Eligibility Supporting Technology applications. This position is central to ensuring these applications and services remain current across all development, test, training, and production environments.
This DevOps engineer will also provides environment triage support. This responsibility includes both workday and night / weekend on-call support for all development, test, training, and production environments. This service helps maintain high availability for developers, testers, trainers, and production end users.
This position works under minimal direction with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Roles and Responsibilities :
1. Develop, monitor and optimize Batch Jobs and Operations.
2. Analyzes the technology currently being used and develops plans and processes for improvement and expansion.
3. Implements and enhances an advanced CI / CD solution. Develops, codes, tests, builds, installs, configures, and maintains IT solutions.
4. Analyzes processes, and deployments and proposes improvements to streamline code deployments and minimize errors.
5. Uses configuration management software to automatically deploy updates and fixes into the various production & non-production environments.
6. Documents processes and procedures.
7. Support Production and Non Production related activities and issues.
8. Support releases and sprint related activities.
9. Provide enterprise level solutions for existing automation in place while developing new solutions.
10. Develop a proposal plan for approval.
CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements are as below (mentions both required and preferred) :
Required 10 years into
- Experience automating “full-life cycle” of complex enterprise IT env. using IaC, CaC & CI / CD tools integrated into 1 unified solution supporting standup of new env or frequent mod to existing env in areas such as IBM WebSphere, MQ & Oracle products, AWS
- Designing and Implementing automation solutions for scalability, repeatability and recoverability
- Proven ability and experience designing and implementing advanced automation solutions using tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible Automation Platform, Github actions, Jenkins, Liquibase etc.
