What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Maintenance Technician position at Apartment Community?
We are currently seeking Experienced Maintenance Technicians to join our growing Property Management team in Richmond, VA. You will be responsible for completing work orders, vacant turns and other required tasks. Experience in the apartment industry and HVAC certification preferred.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm or 8:30am-5:30pm -No ON CALL, No Weekends WEEKLY PAY!
Responsibilities:
- Complete service requests in a timely fashion
- Turning vacant units
- Perform groundskeeping duties to maintain the appearance and safety of property grounds
- Perform routine preventive maintenance
- Maintain material and supply inventory
- Possess strong experience in the following tasks:
- Plumbing - sink/shower/toilet repair, replacing fixtures, unclogging drains (snaking when applicable)
- Electrical - replacing fixtures and switches, knowledge of proper safety protocol, rewiring when applicable
- Carpentry - patching holes, replacing doors/locks, hanging cabinetry, light touch-up painting
- Appliances - help with the installation of W&D, stoves (when applicable), installing garbage disposals, small repairs
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in residential maintenance - apartments, hotels, or private homes
- Must have reliable means of transportation
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Deadline and detail-oriented
*Certifications: HVAC/EPA/CPO certifications are a PLUS
