Apartment Management Professionals, LLC (AMP Residential) is seeking to hire a Maintenance Technician to join our team at 83 West Townhomes! This apartment community has 504 units and is located in West Bloomfield, MI.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the property in a safe, attractive and comfortable condition. This individual will maintain relationships with other service staff, residents and vendors. Some key responsibilities will include providing the highest level of customer service, make regular inspections of grounds and buildings as part of a preventative maintenance plan, complete service requests and assist with the apartment make-ready process. The maintenance technician reports directly to the maintenance supervisor.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Prepare vacant apartment homes for occupancy by making any necessary repairs
- Complete work orders in occupied homes while providing fast, friendly service
- Follow preventive maintenance guidelines
- Maintain property grounds
- HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance and all other service requests
- Team work to achieve property goals
- Follow safety procedures

- Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms

Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License with valid auto insurance required
- Experience in property management facilities preferred or maintenance background
- EPA certification preferred
- Knowledge of pools preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Time management skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Goal-oriented and must be able to work with a team well
- Strong communication skills
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
- Must be available after hours and weekends for on-call responsibilities (rotated schedule)
