Responsibilities:
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
- Analyze project scope and develop a comprehensive understanding of project requirements
- Utilize construction estimating software such as Bluebeam and other tools to prepare accurate estimates
- Evaluate material and labor costs based on project specifications and market conditions
- Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and identify potential challenges or opportunities
- Prepare detailed take-offs and quantity surveys for various construction trades
- Create and submit bid proposals to clients in a timely manner
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and negotiations with clients and subcontractors
- Collaborate with the project management team to ensure successful handover of projects from estimating to execution
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred)
- 5 plus years of knowledge of construction estimating principles, techniques, and practices and knowledge of substation construction both above and below grade
- Experience in using construction estimating software such as Bluebeam and Excel and familiar with Primavera P6
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex project documents
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in estimating costs
- Ability to negotiate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Solid understanding of project management principles and practices
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
