Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the nursing department, ensuring adherence to established standards of care.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of nursing staff.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and improve health outcomes.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of medical records and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Monitor patient care quality and implement improvements as necessary.
- Stay updated on Medicare regulations and ensure that the facility meets all necessary requirements.
- Provide guidance on anatomy and physiology to enhance staff knowledge and patient care practices.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, professional development, and effective communication.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it pertains to patient care.
