We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring accuracy in payroll calculations, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. The Payroll Director will play a crucial role in supporting our employees by ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing.
Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Maintain employee records related to payroll, including timekeeping, deductions, and benefits.
- Collaborate with IT/HR to ensure accurate employee data is reflected in the payroll system.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports as required by management.
- Assist in the reconciliation of payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Stay updated on federal, state, and local payroll regulations to ensure compliance.
- Provide support during audits related to payroll processes.
- Utilize payroll software such as Great Plains for efficient processing.
Requirements
- Proven experience in payroll processing and administration.
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and double entry bookkeeping principles.
- Familiarity with governmental accounting practices is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial concepts effectively.
