What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graphic Illustrator position at APCO Signs?
Utilize design skills and graphic experience to create and revise standard and custom sign illustrations, as solutions for design and wayfinding projects, utilizing primarily the Adobe Illustrator Suite of software.
Qualified candidate should be detailed oriented, have excellent math skills and be proficient with scaling, geometry, color, typography, and be able to handle many projects at once with tight deadlines. Responsibilities include drawing and detailing sign specifications, taking instruction & design direction from Design, Sign Planning Managers and Sales Reps, communicating with sales reps, sign planners, and project managers for the purpose of reviewing drawings for submittal or revision, checking cloud desk and email for incoming requests. Sign industry or Experiential/Industrial/Commercial Graphic Design experience would be helpful. Some overtime may be required.
Computer Software & Experience Required:
- Macintosh OS X (or more recent)
- Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator/ InDesign / Acrobat
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Some Database & spreadsheet familiarity: FileMaker Pro
- Web Conferencing Software
- 4 year degree or equivalent experience
