A private gated community association is seeking a full-time Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). In this position you will play a critical role in providing immediate assessments during medical situations.
Responsibilities
- Responding promptly to emergency calls and arriving at the scene quickly
- Assessing the condition of patients and determining the necessary course of action
- Providing first aid and medical care to injured or ill individuals
- Stabilizing and preparing for transport to medical facilities
- Performing life-saving procedures such as CPR and defibrillation
- Communicating with other emergency services and coordinating efforts at the scene
- Ensuring the safety of the public at response location
- Offering support and reassurance to victims and their families
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided
- Using emergency equipment and medical supplies effectively
- Participating in ongoing training and professional development courses
- Following the association's standard operating procedures, protocols and regulations related to emergency medical services
- Conducting amenity checks as assigned during non-emergency events/hours
Skills
- Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Physical fitness and stamina
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Availability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
