Our Order Processing Supervisor will be responsible for accurate and timely order processing operations. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The supervisor will lead the order processing team, oversee electronic data interchange (EDI) processes, and ensure seamless order management. Acting as the primary liaison between internal departments, trading partners, and technical teams, this position plays a critical role in maintaining efficient and effective electronic order processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to order processing coordinators to ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Oversee the order processing procedures, ensuring timely and precise execution of all tasks.
- Manage daily EDI transactions, including purchase orders, invoices, and related documents, while ensuring data accuracy.
- Troubleshoot and resolve EDI-related issues, such as transmission errors, mapping problems, and integration failures.
- Monitor order acknowledgments, shipping notices, and invoices, promptly addressing discrepancies and exceptions.
- Facilitate collaboration between E-Commerce, Supply Chain, and IT teams to enhance order accuracy, system performance, and automation efforts.
- Follow up on shipments and coordinate with 3PL partners and Customer Service to resolve logistics issues efficiently.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline order processing, automation, and EDI system enhancements.
- Report high-risk fraud orders and operational discrepancies to management and oversee timely resolutions.
- Lead cross-training initiatives and develop standard operating procedures to support team growth and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure compliance and audit readiness.
Qualification:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in EDI operations and order management
- Proven managerial experience with a track record of successfully leading teams
- Experience in project management
- Knowledge of supply chain and logistics operations is a plus.
- Proficient with ERP system, QuickBooks, Shipworks, and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Strong organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Highly detail oriented, with the ability to multi-task and deal with changing priorities.
