Job Title: Loader/Unloader

MULTIPLE SHIFTS: Day Shift and Swing Shift.

APEL Extrusions, Inc. is an independent extruder, finisher and fabricator of aluminum extrusions, with six extrusion presses and a full array of finishing capabilities occupying over 600,000 square feet of modern manufacturing space employing approximately 300 people. With facilities in Calgary Canada, Coburg Oregon, and Phoenix Arizona, APEL serves the commercial, residential, and industrial markets of Western Canada and the Western United States.
Job Summary
The Loader/Unloader is responsible for efficiently loading and unloading materials and finished products, ensuring timely and accurate movement of goods

Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Operate tensile testing equipment safely and accurately.
- Verify and inspect incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and quality, reporting any discrepancies or damages to the team leader.
- Organize and stage materials and products in designated storage areas or production lines for efficient access and use by production teams.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move materials and products throughout the facility, adhering to safety protocols and equipment maintenance procedures.
- Assist in inventory control by maintaining accurate records of materials and products received, stored, or shipped, and performing cycle counts as required.
- Collaborate with production, shipping, and logistics teams to prioritize workload and meet production schedules and customer delivery deadlines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries and participate in regular safety training sessions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Degree or equivalent.
- Preferred - Prior experience in loading, unloading, or warehouse/manufacturing operations.
