Quality Technician - Phoenix,AZ

Job Description:

The Quality Technician will assist the Quality Manager in the compliance of meeting our customer’s requirements. The position will ensure that APEL's activities are performed and documented per our systems and procedures in accordance with our customer and APEL's quality requirements.

Duties:

• Conducting quality inspections on aluminum before, during and after all processing is completed.
• Perform detailed inspections on the first article.
• Retrieving and documenting data per our customers’ requirements.
• Collect and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Implementing APEL’s quality control measures.
• Conduct quality audits to assess complaints with company standards and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality concerns.
• Maintain a clean quality lab and manufacturing area.
• Assist in training new team members and departments as needed on quality standards by explaining how to perform quality inspections per APEL standards.
• Other duties as assigned. Adaptive to non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
• Provide support to the adherence of APEL’s Quality Management System

Required Competencies & Knowledge:

Skills

• Ability to learn and develop quickly through personal initiative.
• Recognizing changes using measurement data and visual inspections
• Able to work in a fast environment.
• Basic computer skills required, Windows, Word, and Excel preferred.

Qualifications

• A High School degree or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in quality methodologies preferred.
• Good basic math and communication skills.
• Ability to utilize measurement tools.
