Apera AI is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager skilled at hunting down new business within the automation industry. The successful candidate can work effectively in a remote role for a fast-growing company. You have a track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales goals for at least 5 years in automotive industries.
Ideal applicants will reside in: Detroit Metro Area or Michigan State
Your role will include:
- Manage key accounts and expand business relationships.
- Develop, maintain, and expand business relationships with end users, OEMs, integrators, partners (distributors and certified systems integrators).
- Produce qualified leads with realistic dates to close.
- Customer service and management of client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Present to customers based on their requirements and work with the applications team to determine the best fit for the solution.
Required qualifications:
- 5 years of previous sales experience building relationships and expanding a client base.
- Demonstrated experience developing and leading a sales project within your team.
- Track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an engineering or technical field, or a background in technical sales with a non-technical degree.
- Experience in the manufacturing automation field.

- You are recognized as highly skilled at sales acumen on your team.
- Highly self-motivated.
- Can demonstrate how you positively impact company culture and build trust.
- Experience selling robotics, vision systems, complex products.
