Network Engineer x2

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer with point to point and point to multi point wireless experience to develop and maintain functional and secure networks. You will mentor a team of engineers to troubleshoot and optimize our networks for our users.

In this role, you should have excellent problem-solving skills and thorough knowledge of network administration and architecture. If you’re also passionate about security and data protection, we’d like to meet you.

Your goal will be to establish networks that cater to customer needs.

Responsibilities

1. Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
2. Configure and install software, servers, routers and other network devices
3. Monitor network performance and integrity
4. Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure
5. Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
6. Mentor team members on technical issues
7. Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)
8. Communicate with users when needed
9. Maintain complete technical documentation
10. Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability

Requirements

1. Industry-related experience as a Senior Network Engineer or Network Administrator
2. Professional certification (e.g. CCNA, CCNP)
3. Solid background in network administration and architecture
4. In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, EIGRP)
5. Familiarity with access control models and network security
6. Knowledge of coding languages for scripting (e.g. Python, Perl)
7. Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds network tools)
8. Solid understanding of network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS)
9. Sharp troubleshooting skills
10. Wireless experience a plus
11. Ability to work independently
12. Organizational and mentoring skills
13. Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Engineering or related field or equivalent career expertise
