Auto Glass Technician

Job Description

• Perform Auto Glass Installations: Safely and efficiently remove and install windshields, side windows, back glass, and sunroofs across various vehicle makes and models
• Conduct Glass Repairs: Assess damage to auto glass, and perform repairs, such as chip and crack repairs, to maintain the structural integrity of the glass
• Drive to Customer Locations: Safely drive the company service vehicle to customer locations to perform on-site auto glass repairs and installations, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
• Provide Professional Customer Service: Communicate effectively with customers, providing estimates, explaining repair or installation processes, and addressing customer concerns
• Uphold Safety Standards: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper handling of glass and chemicals, to ensure a safe working environment
• Maintain Detailed, Accurate Record: Document all work performed, materials used, and customer interactions
• Maintain Mobile Unit: Ensure the service vehicle is clean, organized, and properly maintained, including regular inspections, fluid checks, and equipment upkeep, to ensure safe and efficient mobile operations.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience installing various types of automotive glass, including windshields, side windows, and back glass
• Valid State-Issued Drives License with a clean driving record required
• Proficiency in managing and working with several types of automotive glass
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and installation diagrams
• Strong knowledge of auto mechanic tools, equipment, and techniques used in glass repair and replacement
• Must be able to lift, hold, and carry 25-50 lbs. and work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to work well in a team setting
• Able to maneuver around vehicles to position yourself safely during installations
• Able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning
• Willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary
• AGSC certification preferred but not required

Compensation

• $26 - $32 per hour, 40-hours per week guaranteed
• Supplemental commissions, bonus incentives, and overtime available
• 10 paid holidays
• 2 weeks paid vacation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
