Job description
IT Helpdesk Support Technician
The Helpdesk Support Technician will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. They will also provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
The job is based in Knoxville but will also provide remote support to other bank locations.
Responsibilities include:
Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
Respond to queries either in person or over the phone.
Document formal IT procedures.
Train computer users.
Maintain daily performance of computer systems.
Respond to email messages for customers seeking help.
Ask questions to determine nature of problem.
Walk customer through problem-solving process.
Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
Clean up computers.
Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems.
Assist System Admins in resolving technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), Servers, and other systems.
Install computer peripherals for users.
Follow up with customers to ensure issue has been resolved.
Gain feedback from customers about computer usage.
Qualifications include:
· Associate degree in computer science or engineering or related field, preferred but not required
· 0-2 years of experience in a similar role
· Preferred certification in A , NET , SEC , Microsoft
· Experience troubleshooting various systems and interconnected technologies
· Experience in server administration and software installation
· Experience with using Powershell and CLI
· Switching, Routing and Firewall familiarity
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Familiar with a range of software and hardware
· Willing to travel to client sites on occasion
