We’re currently seeking a driven and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Loan Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build a career and contribute to the success of a dynamic organization.

Reports to: Vice President Loan Operations
What you’ll do:
Step into a critical role where you’ll collaborate closely with our lending team to ensure the highest standards of service both internally and externally. You will work alongside other team members from all across the bank to help ensure accurate and timely completion of assigned tasks and responsibilities. You will assist with the development and implementation of new or updated processes and procedures as well as assisting with documentation review and follow up.
Responsibilities:
Monitoring and reporting:
· Review and organize loan documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with lending policies.
· Input of applicant and loan data into core system while maintaining accurate records of loan applications, statuses, and related communications.
· Assist in processing loans by preparing and coordinating necessary paperwork, ensuring timely and efficient loan closings, and following up on outstanding documentation or approvals.
Cross-departmental collaboration:
· Communicate with Bank lenders and internal team members in all aspects of the loan process while following regulatory guidance, internal procedures, and loan policy.
· Work together with underwriters, loan officers, and other team members to resolve issues, process loan applications, and ensure smooth loan origination and servicing expectations.
· Assists loan officers in gathering all documents required by transaction type (i.e. complete applications, income verification, credit reports, personal identification, etc.).
· Serve as a point of contact for lenders, branch personnel, underwriters, title companies, etc.
Policy and procedure updates:
· Assist in the creation, review, and revision of loan operations policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
· Collaborate with internal teams to gather input and ensure that all policies and procedures are clear, accurate, and accessible.
· Continuously monitor industry best practices and regulatory changes to incorporate necessary updates into the policies and procedures.
· Ensure that all loan documentation, training materials, and resources are aligned with updated policies.
General administrative support:
· Provide general administrative support to the loan department, including document preparation, mail, filing, data entry, etc.
· Manage and organize files, reports, and documentation to ensure easy retrieval and record-keeping.
Special projects and initiatives:
· Lead and participate in special projects aimed at improving the loan process, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting business objectives.
· Analyze current processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement new initiatives to optimize loan operations.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of projects and initiatives within timelines and budgets.

What we’re looking for:
· 2 years’ experience in loan administration, loan documentation, loan processing, or a similar role.
· Experience working with title related duties a plus.
· Ability to work independently and remain self-motivated with minimal direct supervision.
· Keen sense of urgency, adaptability, flexibility and resourcefulness.
· Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in order to meet deadlines.
· Strong organizational skills and superb attention to detail.
· Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
· Strong computer skills with full comprehension of Microsoft Office.
· High school diploma or GED required, college graduate or some college experience preferred.
