Position Overview:
The Real Estate Attorney will be responsible for managing and advising on all legal matters related to real estate transactions. This includes reviewing and drafting contracts, negotiating deal terms, overseeing closings, and providing legal guidance across the firm’s operations. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in commercial real estate deals and a proactive, solution-oriented approach to legal risk and compliance.
Duties
- Provide legal counsel on commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements related to commercial real estate.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support client needs and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
- Advise clients on environmental law issues related to property transactions, including due diligence and risk assessment.
- Collaborate with clients, real estate agents, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transactions.
- Stay updated on changes in real estate law, tribal law regulations, immigration law, and other relevant areas that may impact clients.
- Assist in resolving disputes related to commercial real estate through negotiation or litigation as necessary.
- Support clients with estate planning matters as they relate to real property ownership.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Proven experience in commercial real estate law; familiarity with environmental law is highly desirable.
- Strong research skills with the ability to conduct comprehensive legal research efficiently.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract negotiations.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience in legal administration is advantageous.
