Position Title: Project Manager
Annual Salary Range: 60,000-85,000
*Must reside in Chicagoland Metropolitan Area

Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to provide leadership and oversight for storage projects. This role requires effective coordination and communication with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure project success. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a commitment to excellence in project execution.
Major Responsibilities Include:
- Collaborate with Sales, CAD Drafters/Designers, and other Project Managers to support multiple storage projects.
- Provide project management duties to coordinate Apex customers, teams, and suppliers to achieve project success.
- Contribute to technical documentation development for equipment meeting project requirements.
- Serve as the initial point of contact for project-related questions from suppliers and the field supporting the design team.
- Assist installation contractors, customers, and sales teams during project implementation.
- Engage the design team to address technical questions and resolve issues.
- Deliver project status updates internally and externally.
- Provide sales and management teams with insights on past and potential future budget variances.
- Coordinate the creation and facilitation of permit packages, including processing and revisions.
- Record and distribute meeting minutes to relevant team members.
- Generate, maintain, and track project schedules to ensure deliverables are completed, providing resource requirement updates to management.
- Prepare material purchasing documentation in collaboration with the design team and sales.
- Work with suppliers and the design team to coordinate drawing and approval schedules.
- Enter orders into the ERP system to generate and update project purchase orders.
- Perform onsite building readiness assessments, field measurements, inventory checks, and material counts.
- Attend projects and client meetings as required.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the department.
- Expand knowledge of industry best practices and the latest technology.
- Proactively seek opportunities to enhance project outcomes.
- Adhere to all company and department standards, rules, and the 27 Apex principles.
- Provide timely responses and consistent follow-ups internally and externally.
- Participate in company training as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-year degree in a related field and/or project management experience.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Flexible and approachable demeanor.
- Travel as needed (up to 20%)
