Position Overview
Apex Skin and the Apex Clinical Research Center Team is a rapidly growing skincare facility that empowers employees to deliver exceptional patient experiences. We are currently looking for a talented candidate for the role of Clinical Research Coordinator/Engagement Lead. The role is responsible for various tasks associated with clinical study coordination and patient recruitment activities.
This is a Salaried, exempt position. This position requires legal authorization to work in the US.
Schedule: M-F 8 AM – 5 PM (Subject to change)
Essential Functions
- Assists with the coordination, implementation, and conduct of research projects ensuring adherence to research protocol requirements which may include maintenance of regulatory documents and binders, data management, IRB submissions and communication to study team
- Engage and promote Apex Clinical Research across multiple mediums, including written and face to face education of protocols to medical providers to drive patient recruitment.
- Responsible for community outreach and engagement of various stakeholders to drive recruitment of eligible patients to research studies
- Strong communication skills necessary to promote the research business and ensure success
- Collaborate with marketing to drive recruitment, as well as champion the brand
- Results-oriented with weekly reporting of metrics to senior leadership
- Liaison to medical professionals, providing educational support and ongoing follow-up
- Relationship-building with relevant stakeholders
- Communicates with sponsors, monitors, and research personnel to ensure all aspects of study compliance.
- Collaborates with study team to schedule pre-site selection visits, site initiation visits, webinars, monitoring and close-out visits.
- Completes regulatory documents, data capture and other source documentation.
- May be required to attain and maintain clinical competencies such as phlebotomy, vital signs, ECG, POC testing, photography and other testing as required.
- Assists with preparation for audits, on site monitoring visits, pre study visits, and other sponsor visits to site.
- May assist in the development and maintenance of research tools, such as spreadsheets, records, CTMS, etc.
- Develops and maintains professional relationships, strong interpersonal skills, including frequent and open effective communication with stakeholders.
- May participate in the conduct and documentation of the informed consent process.
- May assist in prescreening activities, including chart review, patient intake interviews, phone conversations, and communication with company stakeholders, this includes reaching out to various network providers for the purpose of identifying eligible patients for current studies.
- Maintains various Registries with minimal oversight (Psoriasis and Atopic Dermatitis Registries)
- Other duties, as assigned.

Requirements
BA/BS/AD/High school diploma or equivalency; BS preferred at minimum
Years of experience: 4 or more in related field
Travel requirements: may be required to travel across Apex clinical sites
