Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Marine Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for marine mechanics and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Marine Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various marine vessels and their components. This role requires proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and power tools, as well as the ability to work with hand tools and sheet metal.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical issues in marine vessels and provide effective solutions.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on engines, electrical systems, and other components.
- Assemble parts and systems according to specifications.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate repairs and installations.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vessel's needs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Service Technician or similar role in the marine industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with marine mechanics, including engines, electrical systems, and plumbing.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments, power tools, hand tools, and sheet metal fabrication techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- A background in sales is a plus but not required.
