Apex Entertainment is currently seeking a Kitchen Supervisor to join our team and help provide exceptional service to our guests. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all culinary activities in the kitchen. Your primary duties will include overseeing the production and preparation of all menu items, ensuring recipes and food sanitation are followed, and maintaining operational efficiency to maximize profits.
As a Kitchen Supervisor, you will supervise and train a team of line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers. You will step in as needed to expedite food and work the line during busy periods. A key part of your role will be ensuring that line checks are reviewed and completed at the start of every shift. You will also learn all recipes and specifications for menu items, assist with purchasing when needed, and maintain high standards of organization and cleanliness throughout the kitchen. Additionally, you will follow and complete prep lists, set up stations efficiently, and ensure food safety guidelines are adhered to, including checking the shelf life of products.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all orders are prepared within specified ticket times and maintaining organization during service. It's important to demonstrate a pleasant demeanor toward both guests and fellow team members while reflecting the culture of Apex Entertainment through your professional behavior and kitchen etiquette. Since the dish area plays a significant role in the kitchen, keeping it clean and organized is essential. As a Kitchen Supervisor, you will assist and train staff in duties such as mopping floors, taking out trash, organizing linens, setting up and breaking down the dish machine, maintaining proper chemical levels, and organizing clean dishes.
This role also includes prepping food products for service and working with staff to prioritize tasks. You must be able to stand for 8-10 hours at a time and be willing to take on additional tasks assigned by management.
To qualify, you must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent and possess strong supervisory and interpersonal skills. You should be flexible and adaptable to change, with 3-5 years of experience in the food and beverage or hospitality industry. A flexible schedule is required, including the ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this position.
Salary : $17 - $20
