We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are considered. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and pricing, along with excellent negotiation skills to secure the best contracts for our projects.
Responsibilities
- Analyze project plans and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate estimations.
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather data relevant to the estimation process.
- Utilize estimating software, including Bluebeam, to create comprehensive estimates and reports.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
- Monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle to maintain budget control and identify potential savings.
- Prepare bid proposals and present findings to stakeholders.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and pricing changes to enhance estimating accuracy.
