Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher - Customer Service Representative to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our drivers, providing exceptional service and support in transportation planning and logistics. Your ability to communicate effectively and multi task will be essential in ensuring a smooth operation within our just-in-time freight transportation company.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to drivers, and employees at various suppliers and plants we pick up and deliver to via phone and email, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Ensure drivers are given the correct paperwork for their route, and turn in correct paperwork upon their return.
- Verify drivers are pulling correct trailers.
- Plan drivers on open routes.
- Be able to multi task between answering phones, working on the computer, and dealing with drivers in person.
Experience
- Previous experience in dispatch - customer service role, preferably within the logistics or transportation industry ( but not required).
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Proficient with basic computer skills; ex. Xcel, Word, Email, etc.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette and interpersonal interaction.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
