We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair, particularly with diesel engines. Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related systems.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Conduct inspections of vehicles, including tractor-trailers, to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Utilize hand tools and heavy equipment operation skills to complete repairs effectively.
- Solder electrical components as needed to maintain vehicle functionality.
- Assist in heavy lifting tasks associated with equipment repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used during repairs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in vehicle maintenance, specifically with diesel engines.
- Strong knowledge of shocks, struts, and other suspension components.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment relevant to the trade.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations related to vehicle operation and repair.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A valid driver's license is preferred; additional certifications related to diesel mechanics are a plus.
