Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to children and youth with mental health challenges, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, promoting independence, and fostering a supportive environment that respects client rights.
Duties
- Support clients in developing social, adaptive, communication, and safety skills at home and in the community.
- Work toward promoting independent living skills, i.e. self care and hygiene, community integration, money management, and health management.
- Monitor and document clients' progress on treatment plan goals.
- Provide self-advocacy and education training to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Provide self-advocacy and educational training
- Prepare youth for future employment opportunities by teaching work related skills
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the field of mental health or special needs required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
