Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, & efficia Direct Support Professional Lead to join our team. In this lead role, you will provide oversight to the DSPs working in the home to which you are assigned, fulfill job duties and responsibilities accurately and in a timely manner to provide an example for the DSPs, deliver oversight to the individuals in the home to which you are assigned, & ensure the health and safety of the individuals are always maintained while doing so in a caring and respectful manner.

Duties
As a Direct Support Professional Lead, your responsibilities will include:
- Ensure shift duties are being completed on all shifts
- Ensure & maintain a clean and organized living environment for clients
- Check the MARs daily, weekly, & monthly
- Ensure medical and dietary requirements are followed
- Check for maintenance issues
- Conduct Fire Drills - monthly
- Complete front-end work on the schedule at least 2 weeks in advance
- Check the Documentation every time you are on shift
- Stock your home weekly
- Coordinate activities daily, weekly, & monthly for clients
- Attend Tuesday mandatory lead team meetings
- Run house meeting
- Attend administrative reviews for incidents/investigations upon request
- Attend risk management meetings when available
- Attend ISP and client’s team meetings
- On Call - every 6-7 weeks
- Complete and submit proper documentation and paperwork, on time
- Providing patient monitoring to track progress and report any changes in condition
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, clients, and other staff members to develop individualized care plans
Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Professional workplace communication
- Previous experience in a community home, nursing home or assisted living setting
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients
- CPR Certification
- Complete communication foundations and workplace violence training
- Medication Administration Certification
- Genuine passion for providing care and support to others
- A high school diploma or equivalent

Pay: $16.50 - $17.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekends as needed
