What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Athletic Trainer position at Apex Home Health & Hospice?
We are seeking a passionate Certified Athletic Trainer to provide care for athletes in Benton, Illinois. The primary location of this role is at Benton Consolidated High School where you will be responsible for Athletic Testing and Injury Prevention as well as supervising athletes in sports performance programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Athletic Testing: Conduct pre-participation physicals and post-injury evaluations to assess athlete's readiness to participate or return to play.
- Injury Prevention: Develop and implement injury prevention strategies, including warm-up and cool-down exercises, to minimize the risk of injury to athletes.
- Sports Performance Programs: Supervise and monitor athletes participating in sports performance programs, providing guidance and instruction on proper techniques and safety protocols.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training or related field.
- NATA (National Athletic Trainers' Association) Certification.
- CPR Certification.
- Applicable State License.
- PREFERRED: Master's Degree in Athletic Training or related field.
