Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards in food handling and culinary excellence. This position requires strong leadership skills, a passion for the hospitality industry, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily operations of the establishment to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.
- Supervise staff across various departments including culinary, bar, and banquet services to maintain high service standards.
- Implement effective shift management strategies to optimize team performance and productivity.
- Oversee food handling procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) systems to facilitate accurate transactions and reporting.
- Collaborate with the General Manager on budgeting and financial planning to meet operational goals.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance to foster a positive work environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the food service or hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and health regulations.
- Familiarity with POS systems and their operational functionalities.
- Experience in managing banquet services is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and supervise staff effectively.
- Proficiency in budgeting and financial management within a hospitality context.
