Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Loader/Unloader to join our team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading materials, ensuring that products are handled safely and efficiently. This role is crucial in maintaining the flow of goods within our distribution center, contributing to overall operational success.
Duties
- Load and unload products from trucks and containers using equipment such as pallet jacks and cherry pickers.
- Accurately pick orders based on customer requirements, ensuring timely fulfillment.
- Organize and maintain inventory within the warehouse, ensuring all materials are stored safely and efficiently.
- Perform regular inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Assist in the movement of heavy items, adhering to proper lifting techniques to prevent injury.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and maintain a clean work environment.
Skills
- Proficient in load unloading techniques and materials handling.
- Experience working in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Familiarity with order picking processes and equipment operation, including cherry pickers and pallet jacks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
- Understanding of OSHA regulations related to warehouse safety practices.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on collaboration and communication.
