Position Title: Field Project Manager 1

Location: Pomona, CA

Schedule: Monday-Friday 6AM-4PM

Travel: 70% Nationwide

About the Role:

A Field Project Manager 1 is responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects on-site, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves coordinating various aspects of the construction process, from planning through to project completion, while managing resources, stakeholders, and contractors.


Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • 2 years of experience in construction
  • Experience in fast paced remodel, tenant-improvement, multi-site roll out
  • Familiarity with Big-Box Retail, QSR/Fast Casual Restaurants
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in construction industry and/or experience in carpentry, electrical, paint, plumbing, etc.
  • Ability to manage multiple sites and crews/teams at any given time
  • Good understanding of MEP Building Systems.


Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the Field Project Manager 1 include but are not limited to:


Site Oversight: Frequently travel to job sites nationwide to monitor project schedules, quality, communication, and execution.

Collaboration: Work closely with Senior Project Managers and Construction Project Managers, adhering to their direction to ensure successful project and program delivery.

Daily Reporting: Provide daily reports on project and program status based on field observations and oversight.

Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate with field teams, subcontractors, superintendents, project managers, store management, and occasionally clients to ensure alignment and address any needs for successful project execution.

Multi-Site Management: Oversee construction projects across multiple sites from inception to completion.

Project Planning and Resource Management: Play a key role in project planning, budgeting, and identifying necessary resources.

Schedule Adherence: Ensure construction activities adhere to the pre-determined schedule.

Contractor Coordination: Communicate effectively with contractors responsible for various project phases to ensure timely completion.

Field Staff Management: Manage field staff to efficiently execute assigned projects.

Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor construction progress and conduct status meetings with all sub-teams.

Budget and Quality Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to budgetary guidelines, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Site Inspections: Conduct frequent inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance and address any issues.

Customer Service: Address and resolve customer inquiries and issues in a timely manner.

Dispute and Claim Management: Identify potential sources of disputes and claims in project design and construction and take appropriate actions.

Quality Control Review: Review and revise quality control processes to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Team Meetings: Plan and schedule team meetings to review project progress and address any issues.

Status Reporting: Prepare and submit daily/weekly project status reports to the team of Project Managers and Coordinators.

Change Management: Support and implement change management activities related to project scope adjustments.
