About the Role :
Apex Imaging Services is seeking a dedicated and proactive Safety Coordinator to become an integral part of our safety team. In this role, you will ensure a safe and healthy work environment on our construction sites. Your key responsibilities include collaborating with the Safety Manager to roll out safety processes, implement safety policies, and conduct regular site safety surveys. Responsibilities :
The responsibilities of the Safety Coordinator include but are not limited to :
- Ensure a safe and healthy work environment on nationwide projects.
- Work with project management and site supervisors to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks.
- Conduct on-site safety surveys using the third-party app "Safety Reports" to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company policies.
- Assign corrective actions for failed items identified during site safety surveys.
- Document all site safety surveys and maintain detailed records for visited projects.
- Lead or assist with daily and weekly tailgate safety meetings to address hazards and promote safety awareness.
- Support developing and delivering safety training programs for employees and sub-partners.
- Assist in developing and implementing Site-Specific Safety Plans when tasked (SSSPs).
- Monitor and enforce the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on job sites.
- Assist the Safety Manager in investigating incidents, near-misses, and injuries, and contribute to root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Communicate effectively with program teams, subcontractors, and the Safety Manager to resolve safety-related issues.
- Stay up to date with federal, state, and local safety regulations, as well as industry best practices.
- Travel nationwide to various project locations as required.
