The CNC Programmer II or III position is responsible for assisting with implementing, stabilizing, controlling and improving the machining processes. Assist operators in process improvements, work with operators, engineers, designers and drafters to complete requirements. *Hiring for any shift! (1st Shift: 6am-2:30pm M-F, 2nd Shift: 2:15pm-10:45pm M-TH or 3rd Shift: 5am-5:30pm F/Sat/Sun) *Proven experience for levels II and III is required. $26/HR D.O.E.
Essential Responsibilities:

- Contribute to the development and maintenance of manufacturing work instructions and process definitions in a MRP II and ISO 9000 environment.
- Work with CAM/CNC operators in the development of part drawings and part programs.
- Must be team-oriented and self-motivated, requiring participation in business unit teams with production workers, professionals and management.
- Familiar with the operation of manual and CNC machine tool operation.
- Must be able to work with operators in the design and manufacturing of fixtures and tooling.
- Work with production personnel and Manufacturing Engineering to improve quality, yield and productivity.
- Work with CNC operators to assure optimal operability of machine tools and equipment.
- Write and develop CNC programs from geometry and hardcopy engineering drawings.
- Convert CAD files, generate part drawings and analyze part geometry while working in CAM program.
- Create tool paths, NC codes and set-up sheet in CAM program.
- Complete documentation, as necessary, for programming.
- Record labor for job tracking.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area.
- Demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills.
- Document red lines.
- Other duties as requested.
- LEVEL II responsibilities (in addition to all above) = Continued education in machine tool technology and training including, but not limited to CAD/CAM AutoCAD, Mastercam, ISO 9001 and Team Building. Advise on corrective actions. Spec out tooling.
- LEVEL III responsibilities (in addition to all above) = Team leadership required, mentor Programmer's I & II. Manage products and processes. Work with Engineering on designs. Able to take lead on projects and follow through to completion.
Qualifications, Requirements, and/or Experience:
- AA Degree in Automated Manufacturing or related manufacturing degree preferred, CNC Programming course work, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of AutoCAD, reading blueprints and Bill of Materials.
- Demonstrated ability to read and understand machine codes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels and disciplines.
- Knowledge of appropriate tooling, speeds and feeds for various materials.
- Able to use and read precision measuring equipment.
- LEVEL II Requirements (including all of above) = Four years' experience CNC programming and manufacturing. MS Office Suite. Demonstrated ability to perform machining (manual and/or CNC) and a complex variety of skills. Familiarity with operating of manual/CNC machine tool. Ability to troubleshoot both machining and programming issues.
- LEVEL III Requirements (including all of above) = Must be able to work with operators in the design and manufacturing of fixtures and tooling.
Environment:
- International Standards Organization (ISO) certified environment.
- Some noise and plastic chips in manufacturing area.
- Safety glasses recommended on the manufacturing floor outside of designated safety corridor.
- Hearing protection recommended in vicinity of machinery.
- Compliance with company safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to lift and carry 35 lbs.
