The MECHANICAL INSPECTOR I position is responsible for quality checks of products and parts made internally, and those received from vendors as a sub-assembly for production. Some of your duties will include complex programming, GD&T, first article inspection, document creation and receiving inspection. Starting at $22/hr DOE. DAY SHIFT 6AM-2:30PM.

- Inspect products delivered by Production to QC staging area to ensure conformance with drawings, instructions, and specifications included in the job folder.
- Inspect parts during production stages as required.
- Inspect products delivered by the Receiving Department according to drawings and specifications.
- Report nonconformities to QC/QA Manager, Supervisor and/or PM.
- Perform testing as required.
- Follow incoming receiving inspection guidelines.
- Update nonconformities master file.
- Perform additional duties like handling, cleaning, and part engraving required prior to sending products to the Shipping Department.
- Perform appropriate data entry and documentation.
- Keep tools and instruments in order and good shape.
- Maintenance and organization of the QC area.
- Other duties as requested.
Qualifications, Requirements and/or Experience:
- Some college desirable but not required.
- 2 years minimum experience performing quality control functions.
- CMM, Faro arm, Digital Optical Comparator experience desired.
- Experience required in one or more: Mastercam, Veri surf, Calipso, and/or E2 Erp.
- Proficient math skills.
- Knowledge of inspection instruments.
- Ability to read drawings.
- Ability to follow instructions and specifications.
- Standard computer skills.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Good written and communication skills.
- Detail oriented, responsible and dependable.
