The Dept. of Early Care & Learning (DECAL) is seeking an experienced Application Solution Architect specializing in Salesforce with expertise in integrating with state-level platforms, particularly the IES Gateway. This contract role focuses on designing and implementing scalable solutions that enable seamless integration between Salesforce and Georgia's Integrated Eligibility System (IES) Gateway. The ideal candidate will combine deep Salesforce expertise with strong knowledge of government systems integration, ensuring robust data interoperability for grant management and financial reporting workflows.
Work Location & Attendance Requirements:
• Must be physically located in Georgia
• On-site: Tuesday to Thursday, per manager's discretion

Key Responsibilities:
• IES Gateway Integration: Design and deploy comprehensive integration solutions between Salesforce and IES Gateway, ensuring dependable data synchronization and process automation.
• Solution Architecture: Develop complete Salesforce solutions that effectively utilize IES Gateway features for grant management and financial reporting.
• System Integration: Create robust integration patterns employing APIs, middleware, and ETL tools to ensure secure data flows between Salesforce and state systems.
• Technical Leadership: Mentor development teams in the implementation of integration solutions while ensuring compliance with both Salesforce and state system standards.
• Compliance & Security: Ensure that solutions align with federal and state security regulations, implementing appropriate data protection and audit mechanisms.
• Business Collaboration: Collaborate with DECAL stakeholders to gather requirements and translate complex integration demands into technical solutions.
• Grant Management: Design solutions that utilize IES Gateway for efficient grant processing, financial reporting, and compliance tracking.
• Documentation: Maintain thorough technical documentation for all integration components, encompassing architecture diagrams, API specifications, and security protocols.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
Experience:
Minimum 7 years in Salesforce architecture and development roles.
2 years’ experience with government system integrations.
Proven experience with state-level eligibility systems or similar platforms.
Technical Skills:
Expert knowledge of Salesforce platform capabilities and integration patterns.
Strong experience with API design, web services, and ETL processes.
Proficiency in integration technologies (MuleSoft, SOAP/REST APIs, middleware).
Deep understanding of government eligibility systems and grant management processes.
Optional Certifications:
