This people intensive and acquisitive heavy roll-up strategy necessitates an exceptional Electrical Regional Manager.

 Electrical Regional Manager

 

 

Mission of the Role:

The Electrical Regional Manager will serve as the strategic leader and in-house expert overseeing all aspects of the Midwest Region’s electrical business. This person will lead our efforts in green-fielding and expanding our electrical service line at business locations across the Midwest Region. This is a highly visible and critical role, supporting the regional executive team, operations, GMs, service managers, and electricians so that the Company becomes a local leader in residential electrical service. This person will be an entrepreneurial go-getter and someone who is impassioned about building an exceptional electrical business.

 

Responsibilities:

Working closely with the senior leadership team and our operational leaders, the Electrical Regional Manager will lead our efforts in building a best-in-class electrical business across the Midwest.

 

**THIS ROLE REQUIRES A LOT OF TRAVEL TO OUR BRANDS IN THE MIDWEST (50-75% depending on time of year). 

 

  • Recruiting, training, and developing an exceptional electrical team consisting of electricians, trainers, and managers
  • Overseeing and ultimately being responsible for the Company’s electrical business line performance
  • Driving profitable electrical revenue growth across the business
  • Designing and rolling-out a scalable electrical service model that can easily be launched at trades businesses not currently offering these services
  • Building easy-to-manage-to KPIs that drive improved operations and heightened revenue and profits
  • Implementing compensation plans and an employment product that make our business partners the employers of choice in the electrical industry
  • Launching a price book and training program that results in our businesses delivering premier customer service
  • Establishing and implementing the proper policies and procedures to adhere to applicable license and code requirements
  • Keeping current on legislation, laws, and legal trends potentially affecting the electrical business
  • Coordinating with marketing and FP&A to deliver strong and profitable revenue growth
  • Contributing to team culture and effort by accomplishing related results as needed

 

Experience:

 

  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) with a strong ability to recruit, train, develop, and sell
  • The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of broad-based oversight of a leading (greater than $10M revenue) residential electrical service business
  • Prior P&L ownership responsibility, along with budgeting (P&L and CapEx) and KPI review responsibilities
  • Significant experience with:
    • Recruiting, training, and developing tradesmen and managers across all levels of an electrical organization
    • Managing all aspects of an electrical business
  • Strong track-record of driving sales growth and executing in tandem with marketing
  • Outstanding executive leadership and management skills in all aspects of an electrical operation and business environment
  • Strong familiarity with electrical codes and license requirements across multiple geographies

Location: Anywhere in the Midwest near a major airport (Chicago, St Louis, Indianapolis, Ft Wayne, Kansas City, Cleveland, Cincinnatti, Columbus, Detroit, etc). 

 

Compensation: Competitive with performance incentives
