Threader - 3rd Shift
Threaders at Apex Aridyne play a crucial role in the manufacturing process by producing high-quality knitted products that meet industry standards. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining the integrity of the knitting process, ensuring that all products are crafted to specifications. The successful candidate will work closely with a team to optimize production efficiency while adhering to safety protocols. Additionally, this role involves troubleshooting any issues that arise during the knitting process, ensuring minimal downtime. Ultimately, Knitters contribute significantly to the overall success of the manufacturing operation by delivering exceptional products on time.
A threader must have the ability to read and understand spec sheets and thread charts so they can thread the yarn into the machine correctly. You must be able to tape out warps on the beam and in the machine.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in textile manufacturing, ideally in a warp knit environment.
- Understanding of single-needle bar knitting machinery and techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Thread and install bars back into the knitting machine.
- Assist knitters when needed.
- Recognize quality problems to minimize machine downtime.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Accurately fill out production tickets and report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors.
- Assist in maintaining housekeeping throughout the knitting room.
Requirements:
- Ability to handle yarn delicately, steady hand and patience.
- Ability to read and understand spec sheets and thread charts.
- Ability to tape out warps on the beam and machine sley points.
- Ability to sley yarn.
- Willingness to work well with others and independently.
- Ability to stand/walk for 8 hours a day.
- Ability to pass pre-employment substance screening and background check.
